His Whispers

His Whispers

A Poem by CagedEnigma

Searching and searching
For a path out of darkness.
Craving and crying
For a moment of peace.
Wandering aimlessly
Waiting for freedom.
The voice repeats
''Your soul is deceased"
Look at the others, just look at the others
Feel the jealousy melt into hate.
The devil is near, the devil is here
He'll twist your thoughts and rattle the cage.

You silly child, give up give up!

What’s in this world worth living for?

Death is your only path to freedom

End yourself and you end the storm.

By now you must know for sure

God’s light will never shine upon you.

Hanging on is nothing but torture

You won’t admit it but you know it is true.

Leave me alone, please leave me alone

I don’t want to sink into these.

I know my paradise waits for me

A life filled with love and peace.

Stupidity of yours, makes me cry

You see it all, yet you deny.

Let the ocean of hatred inside you remind

Of how you never saw the world being kind.

Cruelty rules, creates the winners

While dreamers are the joke of the land

You shall suffer forever, as long as you exist

Once He plays you the hand of the damned.

Then I shall accept, the hand that’s been dealt

You keep looking through your vindictive eyes.

Call me a fool, or call me worse

I refuse to believe in your poisoning lies.

You may shut your mouth, get out of my head

I know with time, everything will be better.

Need I remind you? I pray everyday

I know the Heavenly reads all my letters.

Get out of your head? Look who’s talking!

You talk like the blind b******s you hate.

It’s a pity, a pity to see you like this

Can’t you see? It’s with yourself you debate.

I am the you hidden in that forbidden corner

The devil inside you can never be caged

I roam freely, whispering into your ears

I will dance in your heart as long as you age.

Your hope is tattered, your faith is torn

Your beautiful nature is fading away.

Dream of light all you want

Darkness is where you’ll come back and stay.

There seems to be no end to this

But the devil may speak, all that he wants.

I know it’s out there, I’ll forever believe

It will pull me out of the darkness that haunts.

CagedEnigma
This is the war that rages within me whenever I fall. Two sides, two sets of beliefs, I feel as if there's two mes debating to see which one should rule my body and actions. You will see more pieces of this nature. Because I can actually continue arguments like these forever. Not sure if this one is good or not, I feel like I can do better but I'll leave that up to you guys to decide. :)

Subconscious thoughts... a devil on one side and an angel on the other side... the demons we battle in life are our own... Yet... the temptations to over come them lurk near and in between... Quite a write... a bit long... but you got your point across to the reader...

I was also thinking I made it too long. I guess I got caught up in the argument while writing haha

Not good or bad...must be settin' the bait. This is a freakin' Café CLASSIC in my humble opinion!
The neverending war rages within us all, especially as we transform just before knowing ourselves.
You captured this beast of vulnerability in a cage that bends but refuses to break even for the sake of the argument.

Bottom line: I just think this rocks. Bravo!

New to writing. It has become a hobby of mine and somehow I find a lot of peace being able to express myself through poems. It's better than letting that voice in your head yap all the time. :p more..
