Chapter 8: Extra training, a hunt after materials and a King/Queen

I walked out of the cafeteria after lunch and walked to a building. It was two days after I had gone into Jester mode and Ray had told me to create a building for me to train in by using Soul Stone. I had put a lot of stones close to it and yesterday I had four walls and one roof made of soul stone. I built the house and bound fires so that they would burn eternally. I walked into my new training building and stood there. [Okay, it seems like you did a decent job.] I did a decent job? I did a great job! [No, it is decent. Now I will teach you how to conjure illusions because the other Kings of you line couldn’t do that.] So I went through a painful process of learning how to conjure illusions because to conjure illusions which were perfect, I had to make them so realistic that, if they did something painful, they give a feeling of pain but I didn’t have a person to experiment on so I had to experiment on myself which was mostly painful because I did succeed. After I had learnt how to make illusions, I learnt how to tap the power of a Dragon familiar to aid me. Since Onyx was a Shadow Dragon, I could phase walk with limits and also use his special magic. I looked incredibly proud when I phase walked for the first time but Ray crushed my feelings of joy by saying: [If you would’ve been perfect at tapping the power, you could’ve turned into a half Dragon.] Well excuse me for not being good at it! I shouted in my mind. Suddenly Jake came in and said: “Yo Kaizer! Are you going to stay here for a month? You’ve been in here for three days now!” “What? Why didn’t you tell me Ray?” [Time is of the essence so I want to teach you without interruptions like school where you learn spells, which can’t help you.] I was about to argue but remembered that Ray was right; I couldn’t learn all the things he taught me, except for the illusions. “I’m staying in here until I finish the stuff I need to learn,” I told Jake. Jake heard Ray so he walked out and closed the door. I was alone again and then Ray told me: [Okay, I don’t want to do this but we need to skip the tapping of power for now and we will need to work on Jester mode. I want you to create an illusionary world and create a Hydra in there. The rest of the world can be however you want it.] I struggled to create the world but when I created the world, I faced a different problem: I didn’t know how a Hydra looked. Uh Ray, I have a problem [Hm? What is it?]  I don’t know what a Hydra looks like. [Oh that’s it? Imagine a Dragon with an anatomy like a giraffe but with seven or nine heads and bigger, they’re very big.] Wait, what’s the difference between a Hydra with seven heads and one with nine heads? [A Hydra with seven heads is weaker and dumber than one with nine heads.] And then he was gone again. I concentrated on the job at hand and created an illusionary Hydra and placed him in my illusionary world. I’m done Ray, I thought. [Good, now enter the world and fight against the Hydra in Jester mode,] he replied casually WHAT? I’M GOING TO DIE IF I DO THAT! [No you’re not; you can’t die in an illusionary world. You will feel the pain which a person does when he dies but you won’t die. Before you ask, I will tell you why, it’s because it’s the fastest and safest way we can use. Believe me, if we had more time I’d use a different method but Drake is mean and doesn’t want to listen.]

I entered the illusionary realm and looked at the Hydra standing in front of me. It looked at me and I noticed that I had made a mistake: I had made him with nine heads. I jumped back quick enough to avoid a Hydra head snap at me and eat me. I ran and gathered my life force in my right hand and let it slide over my face. I materialized Nova Abyss and Nova Void in my hands (yes, those are the blades which destroyed the weird monsters), and charged. Just as I was close enough to strike, the Hydras tail swatted me away and I flew like a man flies in a cartoon after an explosion. The Hydra flew after me and an aerial battle began. It snapped at me with one head but I avoided the maw by propelling myself with air and slashed at the neck but noticed a mistake, the Hydra had nine heads and not one. It bit at me with a different head and bit me in my stomach. I felt the pain of being bitten and then chewed. Let me tell you, it is very painful. I regained consciousness next to the Hydra again in Jester mode and this time I observed the Hydra and its attacking patterns first. The problem was though I couldn’t see a pattern so I spent two whole days only observing the Hydra. I heard Ray chuckle throughout the whole process and was annoyed. I then charged to dodge the attacks and see some patterns I could only see in battle. I fought against the Hydra for an hour and was killed again, by being stomped upon. I stood up next to the Hydra again and started the fight again. But this time, I phase walked after a head tried to snap at me and cut on head of its neck. It fell off and landed on the ground with a thud. I couldn’t spare time to feel happy about cutting down one head yet because the Hydra got mad at me and started roaring a loud roar. I used the winds coming from all of the other eight heads and gathered them to cut his tail. The tail hit the ground with a thud as well and then I concentrated on the eight heads again, just to meet my doom, once again. I had thought of something else for too long, so the Hydra spewed fire at me. I woke up next to a Hydra with no injuries and the ground around me was charred. Hydras can spew fire? [Yes, each head can do one thing which the others can’t. That’s the reason why nine headed Hydras are smarter and stronger than seven headed ones.] How do I identify the heads? [Find that out for yourself. If Kings know that, they can kill Hydras with ease.] God, you’re a great help, I replied but Ray didn’t answer so I couldn’t continue to talk with him. I thought of ways to kill the Hydra and then I had an idea, I would use the blades which moved independently. I summoned them and let them dance in the air. But the Hydra just ate them. I looked at it with my mouth agape and then I just thought: Well that idea is gone. I dodged attacks and then I looked at the Hydra in Dragons Sight. The Hydra heads had auras surrounding them which were all the same. Well that was a failure, I thought. I kept on fighting against it and when I got lucky I cut down two of its nine heads and its tail. I then had a completely new idea and went out of Jester mode. I ran at it normally and the Hydra ignored me. I entered Jester mode and cut down one of its heads and then went back into normal mode. The Hydra looked for the one who cut its head but couldn’t find me. I repeated that three times but the Hydra froze me when I was about to cut the fifth head and then ate me. [A good idea which would’ve worked against a seven headed Hydra or a nine headed Hydra without its smart head but this one has it and you unluckily avoided cutting it.] I got pissed at Ray but concentrated at the task at hand. I knew the answer but I didn’t know how to get to it. I was in normal mode thinking because the Hydra ignored me then. I kept on thinking and then I remembered something.

There was a man with jet black hair standing in front of a nine headed Hydra. He was in Jester mode and wielded a two handed great sword in one hand and a shield in another. He ran towards the Hydra and then erected a wall of flames. The Hydra just froze it and ate the man.

What was that for Ray? [I’m stopping you from doing something as stupid as Christian, that’s the man’s name by the way, and dying.] What? That is the most stupid reason I have ever heard of! But Ray never answered and I just looked at the Hydra. It had intelligence which meant it could know what was dangerous and what wasn’t… but that also made it vulnerable to illusions! I stood up and conjured an illusionary me in Jester form. The Hydra attacked the illusion which dodged it. I charged and then I cut a head. The Hydra thought that the illusionary me, had done it so it kept on charging and I did that until there was only one head left. The illusionary me disappeared and the Hydra looked around. I went into Jester mode and cut the last head. It landed with a thud on the soft grass and I just looked at the body. I then cut it into pieces and burnt the heads and the body pieces. [Well, that is a way to do it but not the way I wanted you to.] Ray said. Can I rest? [Yes you can, but the day after tomorrow you will have to find the solution I want you to find.] Ray said. I went out of the illusionary world and all of the fatigue I had received while fighting against the Hydra fell on me and I was tired. I went to the dormitory and into my room. I saw Jack, Jake, Jett, Alice, Aria and Mira, the light brown haired girl from the student council, sitting on chairs, my bed and Jakes bed in the room which belonged to Jake and me. They all jumped in surprise when I went into the room. I turned to go out but Alice and Aria; they were both sitting on my bed, got off and Aria said: “Here, sit down and tell us what you were doing.” I sat on my bed and then I told them what I was doing. Everyone was surprised but Jack just laughed and said: “Geez, Ray is turning you into a slave.” [I am not turning Kaizer into a slave. This is the only way I can teach him how to handle Jester mode correctly and also some other things.] “We understand that but why a nine headed Hydra?” Jett asked. Ray answered: [Well, I didn’t tell him to create a nine headed one; he just did it on his own.] I just lied down on my bed and closed my eyes. I was exhausted and just fought against a nine headed Hydra and died hundreds of times. Then Alice held a bottle of water to me and said: “You must be thirsty; you’ve been in there for a month.” I was surprised that so much time had passed without me noticing it. I took the water bottle with gratitude and drank from it. I wasn’t feeling parched but I was thirsty so I drank the bottle out and threw it into the trash can. I then sat down on my bed again and ran through all of the memories of the former Kings to find a blade which could help me against a Hydra and some blades which could help me generally against things Ray could throw at me. I found some of the blades and reminded myself of searching for the material I needed to create them, tomorrow. I then stayed awake until everyone left and fell asleep, three seconds after they left and I fell on my bed.

The next day I woke up and ate breakfast. Before classes started I looked for a teacher who could help me with the materials I would need. The teacher who could help me in the plant part of the material was surprisingly Mr. Kinter. He told me that He would give me all of the material and I looked for other material. I then found a teacher who could help me with all metal like material. His name was Mr. O’Neil and he told me that he would give me the metal and that he was happy to help. I then attended classes and surprised my classmates with being there. At lunch I went to visit Onyx and ate lunch next to him and then I remembered something. Mater could help me with the rest of the material and I ran to her. She told me that she knew where to find them and that she would give them to me the next day and so I went back to my room. I saw two packages on my bed and opened them. The material I needed was there (well the plant and metal attributes) and I created the blades. I never told you how I create blades did I? Well, I burnt the material and then formed the smoke into a blade and then burnt the smoke. Then the blade formed in my hand. The colors were never made by me and just came to be. I went to dinner with Jake arguing about his fighting style. At the cafeteria we were joined by Jack and Jett as well as Kennan who laughed at the way Ray had trained me. He said that Ray had done that to all the first generation Kings and that they had all almost died. Eric and his cronies walked past us and bumped Jack. “Hey man, if you bump someone you usually apologize,” Jack said. Eric kept on walking and Jack stood up but Jake intervened: “Don’t do it man, he’s not worth it.” Jack sat down again and then Eric fell. He was lying on the ground and Jack, Jake, Jett, Kennan and I were laughing. Eric got mad and then walked towards us: “I fell because of you, right?” He pointed at us but none of us had done it. Jett then said: “Eric, you will be quiet or I will make you be quiet.” Eric looked at him and then said: “Shut up you poor excuse of a normal student.” Jett materialized his gun in his hand and pointed it at Eric. Eric then said: “Yeah, shoot me if you dare!” Jett pulled the trigger and out came a flag which had `bang´ written on it. We laughed but Eric looked pissed and his cronies came and they pulled weapons out of their belts. I then just looked around me in Dragons sight and saw someone with a curious aura surrounding him. I stood up and walked towards the person and noticed that she was surrounded by guys `courting´ her. I walked in front of her and one of the boys said: “Hey! Wait in the line!” I ignored him and walked towards the girl with the strange aura. I was standing in front of her and said: “Well this is great, a King who is her own Queen. Or is your `Queen´ your `King´?” The girl had color changing hair, pointed ears (yes, pointed ears), emerald green eyes, a very feminine body and a beautiful face. She resembled Alice a lot just that her aura was more… wild and uncontrollable. She looked at me and smiled: “Well, I never thought that anyone would notice me.” “I wouldn’t have noticed you if not for that soul arrow you shot through the air,” I answered. “I must have been careless and let my soul arrow fly visibly through the air.” “Not at all, I just felt the arrow create a small vacuum which allowed me to read the current.” “Ah, so you’re Kaizer’s descendant… nice to meet you, my name is Mercedes Elb.” [Ah, so now you meet Mercedes… maybe the Kings gather again… well, Mercedes is of the Elven race and is rather… uncontrollable. She is also a first generation King and is immortal due to the Elven blood in her veins.] “Nice to meet you as well, my name is Kaizer Nova; I am indeed a descendant of my namesake but also the descendant of Ray.” “I noticed his blood flowing through your veins. Well I am your senior I guess… by the way, I feel Kennan’s presence; would you mind showing me where he is?” “Not at all, follow me.” I walked past the boys with her at my heels and towards the table with Kennan, Jack, Jake and Jett. “Mercedes, it is nice to see you again,” Kennan said. “It is nice to see you again as well, Kennan,” she replied and Jack and Jake just glared at her. They introduced themselves and while they were glaring at her, I slipped out, went to the house of light, picked up the things from Mater, created the swords and went to the training house and reentered the illusionary world.
