The Master of Chaos

The Master of Chaos

A Poem by The Everfree Poet
"

Just an idea that popped into my head.

"

The Master of Chaos does as he wants;

an imbalanced equation brought to life.

His mind a place filled with erratic thoughts;

a paradox and contradiction spliced.

No rule can bind, no law can keep him back,

like capturing the fog using a net.

Too many definitions to keep track;

infinity collides with man’s intent.

The cornerstone of Age, Progress, and Time,

yet equally as dangerous to their cause.

A foe? A friend? Intentions he does hide;

you can’t hope to cajole this ancient god.

The Master of Chaos conforms for none;

a living mismatch looking for some fun.

This poem makes me wonder whether the Master of Chaos is a god in its own right, or whether we all have a little bit of him inside ourselves. Humanity is given so many options within our reach that it would not surprise if at some level we are masters of our own chaos and the chaos around us. I know certain people that this would apply to clearly! Lol. It's a great poem. Thanks for writing and sharing it with us!
