The lonely Sailor

The lonely Sailor

A Poem by Captain Spanky

My course is uncharted, my bearings are lost.

My sails are luff and the weather never changing.

I am alone on a barren sea of despair.

No family, no friends alone so alone and none seem to care.

I call out, It's so very unfair.

I toil and sweat to do my fair share.

I love and long to only to not feel its there.

Why do I suffer, why should I care.

Alone at sea, with only the nite air.

I believe that not a soul on earth even cares.

Life without me may fill others with unbridled glee.

I am alone, on the deep blue sea.
