My Mistress

My Mistress

A Poem by Captain Spanky

My Mistress

I hear the sea, It beckons to me

Gentile music carried on the salty breeze

From north to south, east by west

I hear the call from my sirens breast

Come to me, she says.

I will cradle you in my cool embrace.

Gentility rocking while the sun and moon race.

Azure skies and sapphire water await.

Never spurn me, for my wrath is great.

Skies will darken and seas will rise.

It will be shear terror to your mere mortal eyes.

I am the seemingly endless sea.

Immortal and timeless.

Love me and adore me.

Respect and marvel at me.

"Never spurn me, for my wrath is great."

Very wonderful piece. The flow was almost lyrical!
