(working title) my morbid love poem

A Poem by Captain Savage
"

I wrote this after coming home from a poetry read, it hit me at 2 am as I was trying to sleep

"

Here is to all the people
that ever did you wrong

may their faces droop
their toes and feet grow
rows upon rows of
corns and boils.

If I could hunt them
down and exact
your vengence
you know I would

let me smite those
who have kept you
from trusting another

kept you from me

if I made them pay

for what they did

If I made their
children pay for what
they did

would you love me?

If not would you at
least consider
something more than friendship

If I could make those
useless sacks of
worthless scum

choke on their own
violence and abuse

would you move on?

If I burn down their
houses, ruin them financially
leave them no safe port

would you breath
a sigh of relief?

If I could kidnap
them, bring them
handcuffed and blindfolded

would you exact your
own form of revenge?

What if I offered any of this

would you accept my help?

If I gave you the tools
and the know how

would you help me bury
them, still alive and
screaming into the night

could we then go
merrilly, on some date?

I offer you vengence
upon all the people
that ever hurt you

I pledge not to become
one of them

If I could leave them
bleeding, and pleading
for their lives

would you join me in
beating them within an inch
of their worthless,
disgusting lives?

If I could offer you this

would you let me hold
your hand and walk
with  you side by side

or put my arm
around your waist?
