SunRISE to power.

SunRISE to power.

A Poem by CaraLynn

I slowly felt myself sinking, deteriorating into dusk.
I cried orange and bled purple, my colors permeating the sky.
Hazy pink streaks blurred my surroundings as I collapsed.
Frantic whispers of the ocean urged and led my descent.
Powerless and weak, I diminished into darkness.
I became hidden by the land, entombed and lonesome.
I had been forgotten and the moon shined in my place.
Motionless and ruined, I settled beneath the horizon.
But unexpectedly, the quiet cover of nightfall brought me comfort,
And it was there, under the earth, where I found my strength.
So I awaited daybreak impatiently and excited.
The earth stood still, beautiful and calm, anticipating sunshine.
I lifted myself from the gloomy haze of dawn,
And my beams began to burn away the heavy shades of night.
My warmth spread like wild fire, scorching the grounds.
I could hear the nocturnal demons being sizzled by morning light.
My soul kissed the heavens as it overcame the frothy clouds.
Creatures awoke and filled the air with songs of early day.
I shined across the land and proved my exuberant existence.
For it was I who had created a new day and I had risen to power.

Kinda speaks to me of the evening being the sunset of a time in our lives and the morning is our rebirth, like a phoenix rising from the ashes to make a bold new start. Nice Poetry!

This is a brilliant ode to those who need the power of the sun to truly exist upon the earth. Your words were woven beautifully as they captured the turn of light, placing to bed the moments of darkness from dusk to dawn.

Great Ink!
