A Poem by Carrie Manor

Tell me what my purpose is,

who am I suppose to be?

I’m tired of trying, cause I can never find

the median that’s me.

Love is a lost art,

and books and knowledge

are becoming second to last.

Who am I suppose to be?

I feel chained to distant memories

and places I’ll never go.

I thought you were the one

and you’d set me free.

But I’m chained,

a slave to desolate loneliness.

I drag these memories,

I know only I can set me free.

I thought you were the one

I thought we were meant to be.

Tell me what my purpose is,

who am I suppose to be?

what am I meant to be.

I’m tired of trying,

cause I can’t find the light.

I know I only can set me free.

Love is a lost art.

Tell me what my purpose is,

who am I suppose to be?

I’m tired of trying, cause I can never find

the median that’s me.
