I Want What The Earth Wants

I Want What The Earth Wants

A Poem by Carson Kramer

I want what the Earth wants.
The tug of the Moon.
The gaze of the Stars.
The scent of Comet tails.
The crash of Asteroids.
I want what the Earth wants.
To cool in a vacuum of expanse.
To rise and set
to a masterful timepiece.
I want what the Earth wants.
Being free of that which sears Her.
Free of the holes we bore in Her.
Free to orbit
Time, Himself.

Wow. Love this poem. Your wish to identify with the Earth is very grand and beautifully expressed. The repetition of 'I want what the Earth wants' adds to the urgency of your longing.

About
You have come to the Nom de Plume, of the writer known as, Nipplegrinder. It was suggested that I would receive a more welcoming response, if I hadn't such a repulsive screen name. (Thank you, Lyn.) .. more..
