Salem

Salem

A Poem by Casanova

A rope around my neck

strong ropes and chains held me,

hatred without common sense too

all for their "pure society"

My accusers are so young

hatred is bound in their soul,

they claim to be innocents

wells without water, I know

Some have already died too soon

my voice is mocked as well,

I was a member of the Church

now rejected as a Daughter of Hell

Tight is the rope that burns

tears falling, my soul to God above,

I see lies on such young faces

I worship only Him, with Love

Others are waitng to be judged

to be hanged until they are dead,

so easy to point out evil in others

how do these accusers sleep in bed?

History one day will see the truth

God Himself, will have the final say,

tho many will die for lies

I was never a witch, that I will say

Earth fades, lights of a city

solitary man comes toward me,

pierced hands and feet, such Love,

"My daughter, your home for eternity"

The past is over, no more Salem

Joy is mine forevermore,

some made it here, others did not

my feet rest on this Heavenly shore

Amazing poem :)

Wow...this is a very intense poem. It made me feel something that I never quite felt before now. Can't put my finger on the exact emotion. Violently sad.
