Love is foreign language to me

The sweet words

Touching of skin

And affectionate glances

Are words that I never had the chance to learn

8th grade was my first lesson

In the language of love

Though I tried my hardest

Two months in

And my teacher quit for my best friend

High school had many opportunities

To "help" me become accustomed

To how a loving relationship worked

But I couldn't get passed

How awkward I felt when another guy touched me

I was an outsider

A mysterious object that

Was sought out because of her innocence

The word "love" now a messed up concept

That I did not want to know

Graduated and off to college

Pictures of the summer I spent together

With you are rooted in my memory

Relishing in the last moments we had together

I realized, that I was devastated you weren't around anymore

I enjoyed being with you

Talking like we were the only ones alive

They way your beautiful eyes shine

Whenever you smiled at me

And our long calls at all hours of the night

Although the distance between us

Is almost a thousand miles

I dream of the day you find me again

So that I can get a chance

To learn the language of your love

Hey guys I know I've been away for a long time, but I'm back! This is for my boy friend to help him find me on this site because we made a bet on it :P If you could give me lots of feed back and constructive criticism that would be awesome! And I would like to go on record here that I do not know why it has 800 views and it's only been up for less than a week. I promise I didn't sell my soul to the writerscafe gods so that it could happen.

As I read your post it's almost as if you are a flower fairy but I see that you might need a little more power behind it- Just an observation. Also don't limit yourself by saying "2" instead of two (That would make it more powerful) Anyway's great job@
