I Miss You...

I Miss You...

A Poem by Cassi M.

I saw you at the grocery store today.

When I saw your chestnut hair

My heart skipped a beat.

All of the feelings

I have tried to suppress

Rose up and tickled my heart.

Our eyes locked for an instant,

And a fire ignited inside of me.

I wanted to talk to you,

I wanted to catch up,

But I stopped myself.

Then we got in the same line

For the same cashier.

I pretended that you weren't

Inches from me.

I pretended that I couldn't feel

The sparks flying between us.

I pretended that

We were complete strangers.

These emotions,

These feelings,

Why are they coming back?

I guess you never forget

Your first love.

You never forget, but are better off without trust me..
Thinks will get better later with time and soon you'd be
trying to remember his name...Nice write...

Ugh. This sounds all too familiar, haha.

You've captured the feeling very well.
