What will I remember?

What will I remember?

A Poem by Coyote Poetry
"

Life is long. People are many. What is truly important?

"

What will I remember?

Days pass by.

Life goes on.

What will I hold on to?

Family

Family
Grandparent, family.
Love?
Love?
Friendship?
War?

Kindness and love is all we have left in the end.

A man with a handful of bills and children at his feet.

He know love and what is important.

As days go by, what will I remember?
Soft and shallow goals,
Of wishes unfulfilled?
Or kind and gentle hands,
Family, friend, and kin.

Something that popped into my head after reading this.

You make valid points. Family, the ones you choose to have and the ones that despite being thrust upon you, fill your heart are the true joys in life. Time wears away all things. Only through family does anything worthwhile ever last.

Thank you for sharing.

Touching and amazing. I know I'm too young to say something like this but, I do always think about those things. I do ask myself what will I left behind me, and does it all matter in the end.

Thank you for this beautiful share of your life.

'Be content for laughter and friends. These are the real Gold in a life.' If only more people would remember that!

You bring heart and spirit to the Cafe, John .. you trust your past, you meld it into now and learn for the future .. all your words, all your photos all mean something: a lesson learned, loved, regretted but ever with you. Thank you, always, thank you.

So very true, when everything is sifted down and we find what's important, its the love and friendship of the ones who matter most to us! This is nicely done! I love the mixture of words and pictures!
