                            Letters, never send.

Dear Juliette

You told me often my Juliette, I was whimsical or not. Always wanting too much, always wanting to test life. I was like the running river. Always moving to unknown destinations. I think of you every morning when I watch the Pacific sky come alive. I awake at 5 am and I walk from Fort Ord to Monterey on the quiet and empty sea shore. I buy some coffee and sit at the Monterey pier. I remember when you came to Monterey and we walked together. A perfect silence we shared. Dear Juliette, I am writing like a mad man. One book done and second almost done. I wrote a poem for you.

                         "Darling, love and sweetheart

Love gives without demand of return,
love don't steal or hurt.
Love was you my darling, my love.
Sweetheart.
My blessing,
please come to Monterey,
we can roam the California coastline,
dance with the sea and search for gifts, from the sea on our morning walks.
Dear Juliette,
life is slower and I can think now.
I know.
I am whimsical or not.
I see my world with coldness and softness.
Once you were my world,
and today my world is less without you."

I hope you are doing well my love.  Please make time for fun daily and test life. Life isn't work and no play. We must see life for what it can be. Work and no play shall make Juliette, unhappy and sad. Please come to Monterey. Winter is done and the warmer days are here. I walked the Monterey coastline today and I wished to the morning sun. You were with me. Love and kisses.

                                        Johnnie

Ah 'Just Words'. Words are never just words in the hands of a consummate romantic such as you Coyote. You know how to weave the forlorn lost love into your pieces and it really tugs at the heart strings. Written like a love letter gives it a sense of reality!

How gentle and honest you are my friend in your letter; never asking for anything but to a chance to try and make her happy again.
Love lost can sometimes be rekindled with gentleness and time .
"Once you were my world,
and today my world is less without you." .... heartbreakingly lovely ♥

Thank you Shep. Good to have back.
I love the transition in form here, it reinforces the heartfelt and honest nature of the piece as a whole. Your use of specific detail is inspiring, I find it incredibly tough to use place names due to my own hangups. This piece shows how artfully that kind of detail can be put in to art. A wonderful read!

Well , the title was ehat attracted my attention to this writing..I loved it..I loved the way you wrote such an amazing piece on lost love..you know the way you wrote dance with sea search for gifts that painted a beautiful picture of two people playing on beach ...This piece was so beautiful and so heart-touching..And you know what sometimes letters which are never sent , words which are never said , feelings which are never expressed they are far more stronger than those which are said and expressed..And tbis writing was not just words..It was so much heart-touching...Keep writing Coyote Poetry..
Thanks for sharing..
Riddhi.

Oh! It's Soo sweet. The way in which you have written the piece, as a letter is really new and interesting. Further I loved a number of lines and I must tell you that some of them are very good like love don't steal and hurt and specially this one - Once you were my world,
and today my world is less without you.". It's a great piece. Keep going my friend 👍😊
