Riders on the storm

Riders on the storm

A Poem by Coyote Poetry
"

Some words.

"

                         Riders on the storm

"Bad dream again,
anger blasting my thoughts,
Mad men killing and I don't understand.
15 year girl, Leila Hernandez, covered and protected her brother body and she was killed,
A mother, Jordan Anchondo, covered and protected her child. She was killed,
A Marine, 20 years old, Anne Vassas, took her own life.
I am fighting in the chaos of my dreams.
Why is my world falling into madness?
All I can do is pray,
pray and pray some more.
In my dreams,
Endless anger and great sadness for people,
stole from us, by hate."

"Bewildered mind,
can tell the truth from a lie anymore.
I am a rider on a storm,
a storm awakening me to the understanding.
Bigger storms are coming,
the great liars in Washington,
fantasy story tellers,
telling me,
we are going to be alright.
We are not going to be alright,
unless,
we gather as one,
All races, women and men, all religion and the four corners of our world.
Stand together for the words of love, peace, forgiveness and no more hate.
Today people being slaughters in our world.
How many of us care for them?
I am riding on the great storm,
all of us are.
We must decide.
Open our eyes and stand for love.

                     ONE PEOPLE,
                     ONE EARTH,
                     EVERY LIFE MATTER.
EVERY CHILD IS A LIGHT OF LIFE,
PLEASE SEEK PEACE, PLEASE NO MORE HATE.
LOVE AND FORGIVENESS, THE WAYS TO A SAFE PLACE FOR THE CHILDREN.

          Dancing Coyote

Extremely emotional write. Your anger and pain mix in this piece to drag the reader into the chaos that life seems to have become with so many needless atrocities. A pertinent piece written with such compassion and pathos. I thought the music complimented it so well Coyote John!

The world does indeed have much of mans madness to contend with.. it does indeed make one weep and pray and it does indeed beg fixing.. but the powers that be.. whether in Washington, London or elsewhere have deaf ears and are blinded by their own greed, fears and prejudice... You hang these words to this page so very well my friend.

You and me both...
dear Coyote... a lovely write about people agreeing to believe
in all people regardless of Religion or Color. We are all living on borrowed time...
Our attitude is important to keep a peaceful world. All aboard the Train
Brotherhood of Mankind. Amen... truly, Pat

A scary world and thank you for reading and the comment.
This really captivated me for a number of reasons. One, it hit me emotionally as it really captures our current times and my own personal outlook on everything. So thank you for writing something I didn't have words for. Two, it was beautifully written and really well crafted. Three, it captivated me through your ability to show that we should all take time to remember to love one another especially when we are at our wits end or angry. Thank you for this honestly.

Thank you Christian. We need to lead with concern, kindness and love. Would be a better world.
i really hear your cry for peace...my god...we are all riding on a storm right now...and pretty close to being thrown off the horse, and then trampled by that horse...and that horse is hate.
