Lost in the abyss of you....
Can sleeping men sleep find peace? My mind wandered to far away places to when I was brave. My youthful heart believed in love, I believe I could do anything.

Now love had forgotten my name and I remember a pale skin dancing beauty on the first warm day of Spring in Germany. She knew my name and she would tell me. I love you Johnnie, I do love you my Johnnie.

We would dance with the Spring flowers and we would find the sea. Drink Ambrosia wine and I held her, like she was my everything and more. Maybe I knew. Love was so sweet and so rare.

The tapestry of life can got twisted and I told the rising moon. I remember you, I remember us. You weaved me a safe place once and old age had cometh.

Now I seek to be lost in the abyss of you and I know you can't return from the place you left. I remember your beautiful face and how I ran to you to feel the embrace of your tender arms and hands.

Now I am far and away from your memory. I told the million stars. Tell the kindest woman in my world, my sweetest dreams. I pray she did well and she knew great happiness. I want one day.

I want to thank her for loving me in the Spring of my life, I have not forgotten her.

I love this..so romantic....and reminds me of my German Girlfriend I met in grad school, Dorothee.
We dated for a short while, but even to this day we are close friends...and it has been 34 years since we went out...I find that special and am grateful she and I still talk on the phone some times. thank you for this reminder.

Some experience are unforgettable in our lives, even if we moved on, the memories linger, the best is to make these memories, memories of gratitude instead of only pain. so heartfelt, so beautiful, so tender, your words, your feelings, though yes they are sad and yearning, but this comes from that place of gratitude I was speaking about, and this what makes your piece even more beautiful and touching. Thank You dear Coyote ❤️

A bitter sweet love. Yes, there are many. Coyote, thank you for sharing love of sentiment. I was fourteen when I etched my bittersweet love. 1971, we moved from Missouri, to California, never did I once write or call my first love. I went back for my Thirty-Year High School Reunion, hoping she would be there. Only to find a red rose on a table to show respect for her death.
