                             You can't run from yourself

I thought I had chameleon skin. My face could change with the weather, the continent. Once a blushing beauty told me. You are so handsome. Please show me your real face, the ugly face. Pretty smile and false laughter hide a sad clown. Are you the sad clown Johnnie?

He admired the boldness of the girl and he asked her, what is your name my Gypsy lady? You asked the hiding man to show his real face. Maybe, my real face is lost now. We become what we suppose to be. Maybe life conspire to kill us slow and easy? Pretty lady, I have forgotten more than I can remember.

She caressed my face and he adored her dark brown and colorful dress. He felt her eyes looking through him and she told him. My name is Lilith and I am a New York girl in Monterey. I read tarot cards and I belly dance for pay in the restaurant downtown. I like odd things, lost things Johnnie. They call you the dark poet, I call you the poet of madness. You are filled with rage and your heart is empty. You tempt me Johnnie. Remember you wrote me a poem and she gave the poem to me. Please read the words to me. I need to hear your voice praising my dance, my face and me energy.

He read the words to her.
"Gypsy lady dances for the blessed people,
sharing her perfect movement of hips, legs and shoulders.
She steal your vision, she steal your thoughts.
She make you believe,
life can be beautiful and wonderful.
Moving feet, moving legs and moving hips.
Make the sleeping man dream of perfect valleys and the sweetest kiss.
Once she whispered to me.
Lover's, never toil in vain, when the beautiful nymph offer kiss and wine.
Please accept the soft hands on your skin, the gentle awakening kiss and
make her feel she is the only one you need.
I told her, love can overshadow darkness, deadly wishes can come true.
You are the Devil's kisses and wistful man wish.
When the blue moon is above me.
I wish for you.---Love Johnnie"

She told him. You never return to the restaurant and I found you reading at the Pacific Grove poetry reading later. I looked for you. Do you fear me Johnnie?

He pointed toward the sea and he told her. I love the sea, I have suicide boarded her the Winter season. She messed up my ribs often and I still yearn for her. Dear Lilith. You stole my dreams and I see you dancing slow and easy to the songs. Your feet, your legs and your eyes making me want to dance with the Devil in my dangerous and wild dreams. I know woman keep secret and rarely show real face. Dear Lilith. Can I see your real face? I do fear you. If I painted words on your willing skin, I will be destined to be lost in your memory forever.

She straddle him, her pale  and strong legs held him tightly and her dark eyes stared into his eyes. She kissed  him warmly and she whispered. I am brave enough to show my real face. Are you? He told her yes and he returned the kiss.

A dark beginning, but the gypsy woman demanded you watch her belly dance and sing....your face was lost (like behind a clown's smiling face makeup) hidden for a long time, until she kissed you and persuaded you to love her; then your real face showed its presence....a happy ending!
Best, B.

Johnny travels the wild world breaking hearts and taking names, but the Sea, oh how sweetly she sings a gypsy tune. A safe port in that bad boy storm will certainly do! Thanks for sharing the romance
