The Coyote and Raven dance…

The coyote was dancing for the half-moon,

he moved and weaved into the deep forest and he knew.

His beautiful friend was watching him celebrate the night.

The shapeshifter moon allowed the real faces to appear.

The darkest and blackest raven watched from the willow tree.

Maybe the raven needed to dance with the coyote, he hoped.

He told the moon, thank you for the half-moon night and

the star above. He saw the dark hair beauty walking toward him.

She moved softly on the forest surface,

her pale skin and softest brown eyes, stole his eyes.

He asked her. Can I dance with you? Can I kiss your beautiful tattoo.

Can we fall in love again?

He heard the nightingale song and he sang a song.

“Love be sweet, love be bold.

Lovers never ask, just fall into the dance of love.

Without regret”.

He went to her and he held her tightly. He told her.

“Please dance with me,

please stay with me.

I want seconds, I want hours, I want forever to be with you.

You are my ambrosia,

you are my mystery, my wonder.

I will love you till the moon don’t rise no-more.

I will love you till the sun never rises again.

Please stay with me and be my love till the end of days.”

She looked into his eyes,

she saw the dancing coyote, the laughing coyote.

She whispered. “I am here and we must dance for the moon.

We must wait together till the sun and the moon kiss.

We have now, we must make everlasting.

We will make love in the moving river and

we will run bare-a*s through the forest.

You will be my Hemingway and I will be your Agnes.

And we will create a love story of forever.

I won’t break your heart.”

He kissed her once, he kissed your twice and he whispered.

Thank you my Night bird.

John, I don't believe anyone here writes romantic poems better than you ... and then you tie it together with the mysteries of Mother Moon illuminating dark forests softly, bringing forth the dangers of love and Nature.
The thrill of rushing rivers and the intrigue of darkened woods highlight the interaction of the Raven and the Coyote ... two of Mother Nature's most intelligent animals.

Well done my friend.

Thank you Carlos and I appreciate the comment my friend.
Love be this tale of the Raven and the coyote. Dancing and making love under the moonlight in the forest. It was like watching a movie with a never ending twisted tale of love and passion.
