Three mini-poems.A Poem by Coyote PoetryJuly poetry number four.
1- A Summer day...
The birds were singing near me. Lake St. Clair was alive and dancing for the children. The sun-kissed my face and I told the Goddess of the lake. Thank you for the perfect day. 2- The cutting. I watched her cut herself with a razor blade and some blood flowed from her inner thigh. She had a devilist smile and she watched herself bleed. She touched the flowing blood and she asked me. When do we bleed enough? When do we feel enough to like our face? 2- Scorned woman A beautiful red hair gal sat alone in the Belton, Texas dancehall. My young soldier friend caught a glimpse of her smile. I told my friend, never fall in love with a scorned woman. A scorned woman fear love, hate love. The open wound of disappointment needs time to heal. The remaining scars are just tattoos on her skin to remind her. Love had broke her heart. The pretty red hair gal is waiting for no-one. She is just hoping for a dance and someone to make her smile. Coyote
