Where do the angels go?

Where do the angels go?

A Poem by Coyote Poetry
"

For Nightbirde and Joey. I will never understand, why the take the angels from us.

"
(Cancer stole stole two angels from us.)

Once beautiful Joey stole my heart. Face and voice of a angel. I learn life can steal the beautiful and kind people from us. Kind and gentle Nightbirde stole my heart.  I have asked God. Why do you take the beautiful and kind people from us?

I don't understand.

Tonight I drink alone and I wonder.
Why. Dear God.
You steal the the angels, we need?
We need the sweetness of Joey and we need the hope of Nightbirde.

So few angels upon my earth.

Coyote crying.

Once I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer, I asked God why me? I explained, "But I'm a good person, I don't cheat with other people's husbands, I don't get people fired from their jobs, and I make sure that I volunteer as often as possible... So Why me?" A nurse in the lab at the Cancer Center told me, "That's why the devil chose you. He can't stand all the good that you do on this earth." So it may not be God, who is taking your loved ones, but someone/something else.

I am glad dear Toni.
I have asked this question for years. I've always said to myself, I don't understand life, it's so cruel to good people. May she rest in peace.

I'm so sorry for your loss, Coyote. Loss like that is hard to get over. I know.
Ahh yes, the deep and stubbornly persistent question of why! I followed Nightbirde on social media and felt I knew her - such a loss to this world. We need to ask the questions - even if the answers aren't forthcoming. Our hearts still cry "why?" over and over again.
Thank you for sharing your tears with us Coyote crying..

Nightbirde was so strong, so wise. Thank you dear Elaine for reading and the comment.
Some gentle souls are just too beautiful for this world. We just don't have those answers yet..
Until then, keep those beautiful angels within your heart. Afterall, they would want you to smile. :)

Thank you dear Susan. I listen to their music. Some sore of peace.
That is quite the sad thing about our angels and that brings me back to conversations with my siblings, years and years ago where we came to agree on a conclusion that they are stolen away so new angels could sprout their wings. That sufficed way back when and perhaps some comfort and strength can be drawn from that thought today. It's not a very consoling thought but it brings our eyes forward to the angels that follow in her footsteps, perhaps even the angels forming within ourselves.

Cold Day...same...an angel taken too early...27...why?
I don't think I will ever understand why that happens...and yet people who are mean and ugly towards others will live to be over 100. Doesn't make any sense at all.

Lost love is gregarious sorrow. Sorrow is a deep deep well. The act of love's memory, a double edge sword. Cherish the memory, cherish the love, endure the sorrow. Otherwise the love was for naught.

They left us music. Messages to keep us strong and thank you Carl for reading and the comment.
I feel this so deeply, Coyote. You really got into deep emotion here and it shows.
I think I have an answer, but it is somewhat pessimistic and this poem deserves better.
Beautiful, I absolutely love it.

You are oh so very welcome, Coyote.
This was heartbreaking my friend. I do not know if anyone knows why those we love are taken from us. All we can hope is that when our time comes, we will see them again. Nicely done.

I agree my friend. Joey and Nightbirde left us their song. I appreciate the comment.
If you love her, you are not drinking alone. This is so poignant and bittersweet. The love is sweet, the loss is bitter. You seem to have lost some very special friends. I'm sorry, Coyote, my heart goes out to you.
