Coyote song

A Poem by Coyote Poetry
"

We need to be free to learn and dream. If we get lock in a cage. We are just waiting for death.

"

 Coyote song

Beautiful Lady dressed in a black dress.
Blue eyes like a clear river.
Holding the talisman in her hands.
Against her heart.
Her red hair blowing in the Seaside breeze.

  Whisper run Coyote run.
She put the talisman around my neck.

I'm being strangle by so many rules.
I can't find my way back.
I got lost on my journey.

My lady Shaman brings me close.
We dance upon the naked beach.
She feels my disease.

  She tells me.
You are black in spirit.
The Coyote spirit must run free.

  The Coyotes were my friend.
Few of us are still roaming.
I yearn to find my lost comrades.

  Run with the wind.
Break down the paper thin wall of bullshit
Surrounding my life.

  Be free.
Howl and yell at the moon.

  When your dreams died.
We are just waiting for death to free us.

  My blue eye friend.
I hold her tight.
I smell strawberry in her hair.
The cold of the California night.
Bring us closer together.

She give me long and sweet kisses.
Maneuver her body around.
Lift her dress.
Wraps her legs around me.

Her eyes look deep into my soul.

  She whisper.
You are blinded by lies and storytellers.
You can't see beyond this day.
Your hope has disperse into the wind.

  Don't wait for Death.
He will come soon enough.

We fall asleep on the beach.
The ocean music brings a peaceful sleep.

  I dream.
I'm running with the Coyotes.
I'm dancing and howling at the moon.
I'm swimming in joy.

  The morning light appear.
My woman of kindness.
Kisses me and tells  me goodbye for a time.

She raises her hands to the sky.
Be free.
Don't be a dog on a chain.
Brake the chain of disappointment.
Don't be afraid of what is in front of your life.

I watch my protector, my friend and lover
drive away.

I look at the sun, the ocean.
I thank the lord of life and death for her.

  I hear the Coyotes.
They are calling out my name.
Telling me to attack life like a wild beast.

  Eat flesh, taste the blood.
Allow it to penetrate the heart and soul.

  Be strong.
Died for a  worthwhile battle.

  Not like cattle.
Being led to slaughter.

  The Coyote can't be tamed.

Us human are being led to the slaughterhouses
by wealthy and powerful men.

  Escape.

  Run with the wild beast.

Wow, this was really powerful and impactful. This stanza resounded most strongly :
"She tells me.
You are black in spirit.
The Coyote spirit must run free."

There's just something in this that I can't put my finger on- perhaps its the suspicion that we're really not who we are today inside, and the primal desire we all have to break out and run free...

For a poem of this length, you seem to be jumping around a lot. It needs a little cohesion towards the beginning. Its sudden change stopped me short. I love the imagery, its strong and powerful. This poem connects to me because of my Native American heritage. Thank you for sharing.

=) Something I can really relate to. The concept of being chained by life, particularly modern day life. Lost to our true selves, nothing but cages. This shows a fair point and something more people need to remember. Well done

I like it very detailed and strongly worded that's just a few of the many things anyone should do when writing a poem, story, book, script or whatever.

I'll be with the wolves just over the hill. Always the wolves and hawks with me but I understand where the spirit comes from and it is much the same; free and wild, strong and untamed, courageous and loyal to family, creatures of fidelity and ferocity not to be taken lightly in their own element. I'd rather be killed than caged but I'd prefer neither. Great to see other free spirits running where they may.

A real beauty. As always u were very successfully able to portray ur feelings into vivid images.
Deep down we all desire to break free from the worldly cages & follow our heart unbound. This is one perfect example of such a feeling!
Thanks for sharing. Cheers!

In America it use to mean that our government served us the people and we the people if upset would come together and protest and at one two occasions we took arms. Now a days it isn't like that, it is like we are helpless, we are cowards, we are the sheep before the evil of night with no Shepard to protect us. Why? what has happened to us in the last 20 years? This is an awesome write.

First, I want to thank you for reviewing so many of my pieces. At such a young age, it is so great to hear people validating my words. I will always cherish your input. Second, this poem is beautiful. You have wonderful talent. It takes hands to write, but it takes a deeper knowing, and old soul if you will, to really WRITE. I'm honored to read this. Thank you for sharing!
