Are we crazy the people of this world?

Are we crazy the people of this world?

A Poem by Coyote Poetry
"

I worry for the children. What will be left?

"
Are we crazy the people of this world?

I pray a prayer to the spirit of life and death.
Please sent wisdom to the leaders of this world.

We bludgeon our planet.

Who will pay the price for our greed?

Our water is being choke to death by oil spills.
The sea life will die without a cry or outrage by no-one.

    (Oil fires in Iraq)

War is killing people daily.
Killing for religion and oil.
A eye for a eye.
No-one will win.
We will just all be dead.
                  (Death valley, Iraq)

Soldiers are dying for oil and rich men.
I pray these b******s making money off war.
Pay their debt in hell forever.

The world can be beautiful.
We must stop the hatred.
Men of peace must come to the front.
The leaders need to talk of peace.

(My friend Don with his children and my daughter. He was  killed in Iraq in August 2004.)

If we keep going in the direction of hate and War.
What will we leave for the children of this world?

We must get angry and demand the wars to stop everywhere.
We must protect the water and earth.

If we stand bye and do nothing.
We are as guilty as the leaders who want more blood.

... brilliantly written and brilliantly presented ... these are relevant and rampant issues ... aggravated by ulterior motives ... the first step is to talk about it fearlessly and you've done that remarkably ... thank you for writing this and sharing this ... (highest rating) ...

Yes we are crazy or I should say that the system that has developed over the centuries has become twisted. I think what this world really needs is to forget everything. All religions, all old hates, rituals and cultural traditions, economy etc etc and rebuild from scratch but that ain't gonna happen so I'm probably being stupid suggesting it. A very nicely written piece.

a very hot topic of ugly truths that we are born into a world of debts to others; realizing our freedoms were never free.

oh man that just made me tingle all over. Your words, your message, the pictures, all of it, just sent a cold shot down my spine. Favourite lines (chosing only one would seem to insult this poem)
No-one will win.
We will just all be dead
and
I pray these b******s making money off war.
Pay their debt in hell forever.
My only point would be maybe an over use of the word peace too close together. A good write from any perspective (except perhaps for war profiteers) Thank you.

I am sooo with you. Someone told us that he who live by the sword shall surly perish by the sword. I understand the need to defend, but we (humanity) must take care not to be consumed with war-lust or greed.

If we stand idly by i agre we are jsut as guilty as the ones who send us for war but if we sit there as soldiers and do all the innocent killing that we are doing over there under the orders of our corrupt leaders then how are we any better than those who sent us there in the first place.

Amazing. I love this. Hopefully people would stop with these chaos and knowledge the effect. We gain so little and lose so much and for what? Oil and Money.

This is so true. The world is not ours to use it's resources and we blame the earth for our own mistakes. People say that killing is harmful and bad, yet they go and kill over foolish thins, like land and money. What even is money and why is it worth ending the life of a brother, our own kind? I agreee that we are to blame for killing, pollution, oil sills, global warming and so much more. I mourn for your driend Don, and i think that if people read this poem more, maybe they would understand what monsters we really are.

After coming back from the busiest weeks in my life I come to read this! And I love it! The words are true and sad and it only makes me wonder why myself...don't think I was ignoring your writing man...I wouldn't do that with how great and patient you've been with mine, and not to mention i like your stuff. God bless and protect our soldiers.

I applaud this call to action poem. I agree and I actually drive a car for a living currently. But, I'm actively hunting for a job because I'm tired of living my life in my office with four wheels and my life depending on the price of petro. The more dependent we are on oil, the more power we give to all parties involved with the war and drilling for oil.

The b-roll I saw today on Good Morning America of the BP oil spill turned my stomach. Especially when I thought of all of the wildlife in the area and the beautiful people who depend on the marshes and the seafood to survive and make a living. What will they do now? I wouldn't want to consume any seafood or anything organic from that area now.

I thought the powerful messages throughout this poem, coupled with the photos
delivered an emotional and thought provoking poem for the reader. Thanks Coyote Poetry for sharing your poem with us.
