Bloody Carnival

Bloody Carnival

A Poem by Coyote Poetry

HIV, Starvation and War. Hard to see the good in this world.

 Bloody Carnival

Disoriented and disenchanted with my world around me.

The carnage and blood thirst of war overpowered the men  and
woman of peace.

Asylum of crazed leaders need to be put down like rabid dogs.
The innocent children are betrayed and dismissed as only
body counts.

Causes and clauses blind the common man.
We must stand in the place of the people in the war zones.

Feel the fear and emotion of death always being near.
Hunger and violence all around you.

The bloody Carnival of death growing by the second.

In Africa today.
30,000 will die of starvation.
30,000 will die of HIV.
Pray for men, woman and children fighting to stay alive.

More Soldiers to Afghanistan.
Going to places who do not want our help.

They want to be left to their own decisions.
Their direction and dreams must be allowed to happen.

The obsession and desire for more blood will destroy all that
is beautiful and good.

The horrendous cost  of war could feed and give a place
to live to  every human being in this world.

The tyrants and men of hate.
Must learn from the men and woman in their countries.
War must end.

Mercy for the children.
Everywhere please.

Author's Note

Coyote Poetry
I feel we must change directions. I asks my leaders why are we in the Middle East? They have no answers. Terrorist have been around for 3000 years at least. Better to have strong borders protection and proper security. There is no defense for crazed men who will died for a religion. We must protect the borders and allow the Middle East figure out what they want.

War is a very sensitive topic,
more sensitive when it comes to religious war.

I fail to understand why people would want to die for a religion.
when all religions say god is one, but with many names

Terrorists are around for 3000 years
but killers are around for much longer than that and its a basic instinct in every human

The more you desire for something, the more you want it
the more you want it, the more you will go behind it
and when this gives a clash, the person becomes defiant
defiancy leads to deadly desire, and nothing can stop that man from achieving what he wants.
Desire is the root cause of all evil

Everybody is rich in this world (rhetorical, read in religious sense)
But the way you spend things will make others seem more richer

Evrybody is poor in this world(rhetorical, read in religious sense)
but the way you understand things makes others seem poorer.

Border protection is important ,but no system is 100% secure.
People need not change the way they think
People need to change the way they understand others

Every War has a beautiful reason to start and a terrible reason to end.And if the End justifies the means ,as the saying goes I should accept with your point ,and every war is a failure

There is a saying in Telugu and it roughly translates as this :

The people who say that killing others is the only way to live
and to live, you have to kill
will they ever realise that they are their own enemies?

A wonderful piece of poetry , you have written down. However ,I should say , It falls flat when compared to the Killer on the Road.Rating : 100/100

Though I don't necessarily agree with all of the theme, this is the only anti-war piece that actually got my attention (seeing as the subject has been somewhat exhausted). Great structuring, I loved the a-typical one lime to two lines at a time. Made it fresh and unpredictable. Breaks my heart and some point, but that's the poems' aim, is to get you to think. Very good job. :)

Such a sensitive poem, you use such deep words and touch on such important topics. I would say 'a good write', but that would not be fitting, I simply applaud your talent for writing. Great Job :)

@ alone363 - the same reason that makes people commit suicide for their religion...
the same reason that makes people believe in "little spirits waiting to be born"
the same reason that makes people go to church every Sunday
the same reason that makes people allow only men to pray in mosques.
the same reason that believes in a rigid caste system..

because that's what they were taught.
and when these ideas are so deeply inculcated into you.. by your mother, father, grandparents, brothers and sisters, friends and cousins, and your society as a whole, it becomes difficult to see anything else.

@ coyote poetry... a haunting, marvelous write ( again :) ) with its touch of uniqueness and subtle brilliance... (again.. :P)
fantastic work...
