Run with the wind. Dance with the sea.

Run with the wind. Dance with the sea.

A Poem by Coyote Poetry
"

When life make us sad. Need to find reason and purpose.

"
Run with the wind. Dance with the sea.

One year in paradise.
We fell from  heaven.
Nights of love and passion overtaken
by silence and a goodbye.

I climbed to the highest mountain I could find.
Took me hours to go to the Olympic mountains
in Washington State.
I found a unmarked path.
I tried to touch the sky.

I went to the ridge of the mountain.
I watched the hawks.
I sat and prayed for some kind of peace.
The hawks sat close.
Keeping me company.

I was dead in heart.
My spirit saw no peace or calm.
A gentle rain came down.
The forest somehow overtook my eyes.
I was swimming in nature beauty.
I thanks the great Spirit for this day.
I took the long walk back to my truck.
Thinking of the gifts of nature all around me.

I realized how small I was.

I held my suicide board tightly.
The rope  connect to my wrist.
Held the board close even if I lost it.

Me and my good friend Padget went into the Winter
storms of the oceans without fear.
Took 45 minute to find the strongest point of the waves.
I was tossed in all directions by the powerful sea.
Some were 200 feet in height.
I felt one with the water.
She could take me away.
Or allow me to dance with her.

Many people would watch us daily.
They would come to us.
Ask us did we fear the ocean or were we crazy?
I would tell them.
"Take no chances.
Know no pleasure or won't  know the feel of testing life and death."

I met the woman again.
She came to me.
She asks me to come back.
She told me "I missed you.
I'm sorry for being loco sometime."

I smiled.
I remembered crying in my beer.
Being lost and confused.
I look at the Seaside ocean.

I remember the breeze of the mountain air.
The hawk sitting across from me.
"Whispering know the real joy of life.
Leave the s**t behind.
Run with the wind."

I watched the ocean dance.
She was calling me.
I wished to go to her.
Dance with the waves and be free.

I reached over and kissed my old love.
I told her " thank you."
I told her "I found a true love."

"I will run with wind.
I will dance with sea.
I will be free and strong."

Powerful and deceptively entrancing. Humanity as it is in the poigant moments where we seem to find oneness. The flow and the approach was simple but yet read as a whole it has a flow and musicality to it that helps the reader connect with what you are expressing. An impressive peice 100/100

Such beautiful images...and an enchanting story of accepting love. I absolutely love the title and it is definitely fitting of the poem...I too believe this could be transformed into an outstanding short story. Your descriptions of nature are point on and transfixing. Like others have said, some grammar and verb mishaps break the flow, but that can be easily fixed...still an amazing write!

Usually I believe numbers and letters tend to collide in poetry, however you did a great job integrating digits as well as the standard letters into a poem. Just thought I should point out what makes it different which in my vocabulary is often a synonym for awesome. :)

There are small language-associated mistakes, but this piece is amazing anyway. The title let me know right what I was in for, and the words and images didn't disappoint. I felt like I was in the moment. Great poem!

this was very well written
it has lots of elements of a very good story
the tension building slowly, the emotion of longing and looking to unleash the building love
the imagery was not only seen it was felt
wonderful and inspirationally strong

such a convincing story-poem... you really have managed to engage the reader. The nature imagery is lovely, too.

This is beautiful. Isn't it the hardest thing to let gooooooo of what isn't good for us. It's so tantalizing, it takes so much strength to move! You've done a wonderful job at exploring that idea.

With that said, I could correct, but I highly suggest you read over this and correct some of the spelling mistakes and verb mistakes. I think you will see what I mean... It can be distracting so give it a whirl when you have the chance.

Thanks for sharing :)

great piece Coyote. a whole tray of slides painted these pictures you have taken and planted into my head. the grammar leaves a little to be desired, but the way it is written, like who gives a s**t. nice work soldier, thanks for sharing.

wow.... i'm not even sure how to say what how much a enjoyed this poem. so descriptive and had an amazingly beautiful flow to it. :)
I think my favorite line from it was...
"I watched the ocean dance.
She was calling me.
I wished to go to her.
Dance with the waves and be free."
the whole thing was genius! so incredibly creative! i wish i had your talent for writing!
