A Poem by Yuan
"

(For the lost voices of war)

"

    We prayed for heaven, we’ve lived in hell, awash in the morning rain.
        The tormented struggles, many untold,
boxes of gold rings, countless in numbers,
                where the howling outrage pitied those laid below;
     Burning fumes, ashes lifts, splatters a sip of wine,
remembrance by all, we've cried,
        to those granted the living a continued road.
In peace souls rest, though the silence's disturb,
    ruing our careless children we've sowed.

A very fitting tribute at this time of year in remembrance of those who gave everything so that we can have the right to say as we please.
