Losing Myself

Losing myself,

falling deeper and deeper in this hole I dug myself.

 

Falling,

looking up into the light and seeing truth that was once hidden behind dark shadows.

 

How was I fooled by the shadowed images?

 

Feeling the speed, the pressure, the cold,

I know now there is no point of return.

 

I have lost myself,

let myself fall,

and now I, too, am a shadowed image.

Everyone is fooled by the shadows, at some point or another.
But, they're only shadows.
They can not hold you.

Really nice style and form. You have skill and expression. Wonderful imagry and creativity. But one typo. In the first line i dug, should be I dug. I'm picky. But if that is the one and only thing that needs adjusting, you should be rightly proud of your work, and I'm looking forward to reading more.
