Happy Birthday to A Special Friend

I like to wish my friends a Happy Birthday by writing them a poem. This one is for my good friend who I met while doing a play (I was the character of Sue, hence the reference)

Once upon a time

Cathy decided to rhyme

Because it's a special day

And she had something to say.

Since becoming Sue

My life has become brand new

And it's all because of you

And the wonderful things you do.

You always make me smile

And though I won't see you for a while,

I wish a happy bday

To my bestie, who is gay

And I'm gay that you're that way

So it all works out, yay!

So now that you're the age of consent

Stop living like it's Lent

And get yourself a nice treat

And something very juicy to eat.

You deserve the best in life

And I'm sad I'll never be your wife.

You are a truly true friend

And I will love you until the end

Of time.

And that's my rhyme.
