The Choice to Live

The Choice to Live

A Poem by Cassie Black
"

The struggles of each day

"
I sat in my room
Not knowing what to do
The pills in my hand
Do I take them?

The older I get
The more obstacles I have
Overcoming my fears
Making attempts to laugh

It could all be over
I could stop battling each day
Or I could continue fighting
Loosing wars along the way

Neither way I win
Neither way I lose
I'm so sorry mum
For what I'm about to chose.

This was very sad, but I am going through the same thing right now. I would feel the sadness of the man realizing his marriage is over and it resonates with my ownself. Thankyou for the writing.

Thank you for the comment, glad to see I'm not alone with this
Sad, but really good. This is the choice most people will have to go through in this day and age.
