(Doesn't Have One)

(Doesn't Have One)

A Poem by Caustic_Dystopia

My heartbeat can't be tamed.
Not a single soul would say I'm to blame.

Nobody else has this hold over me;
You've got my heart under lock and key.

I tried to fight it, but I was too late;
I guess even an indeterminist can't fight fate.

A hypnotic look from those deep brown eyes,
Just one glance can cause my demise.

And I know when this fervent obsession comes to an end
An irreparable heart I'll try to mend.

But knowing the end will tear me apart
Won't stop me from surrendering my heart.

Your kaleidoscope soul has me in a mesmeric trance.
You're a force of nature and I don't stand a chance.
