Talk

Talk

A Poem by Anthony D. Howe
"

Here goes the rebuilding... *sigh*

"

I sit here

Watching the day slip by

Listen to the people talk

They talk about one another
Behind their backs
To their faces
No one is kind enough
To say the truth,
The only reason we talk about one another
Is to avoid talking about ourselves

I like it. Simple truth.

truth without being too occluded by attempting to
appear catchy... or cosmicly deep

I still like this one. It has a great point, and it's well written. I might would add a metaphor, something to thicken it. Some kind of detail to build it up. Not fluff, but something to create an actual picture in the readers' minds. I think you could get really creative with this. :)
