You Never Knew Me

You Never Knew Me

A Poem by Neva Flores Smith - Changefulstorm
"

With my heart in your hands.........

"

Photobucket

I truly thought
I had found myself
in a wondrous place
where you could truly see me,
and that all my words
were forever immortalized.
Held close.......
inside of your everything,
soft......as a breeze.

I laughed as you stared
into my eyes, asking my name.
With my heart in your hands
and the moonlight
at your beck and call.
Then......watching you walk away,
I smiled.......
even though I realized
you never knew me
at all.

like love at first sight so to speak falling for someone on sight as you first speak to them in a state of lost for love snapping back to reality seeing the things between you such as love and time shared was only a sense of inner thinking in ones self for he don't even know you to love you. as always keep writing fellow writer

Those pesky mirrors being all tricksy like that!

This is deep. It has such a self awareness to it, and facing life head on no matter what, excellent Neva.

The dream is still always so nice,..
sometimes it is real enough.

Beautiful thoughts.

This is beautiful, I really loved it, it really exemplifies how even when things aren't what you had liked- it's alright to except them as they are. I definitely see what you mean about having no excess words :)

THis is amazing. it is similar to my poem freed the other veiw of caged. Kinda similar I would think but i dont know you would have to read and tell me urself. But this is a very nice write. I do believe to truely know ones soul one would have to know ones mind and heart. in this poem one did not know ur mind and heart and there for did not know ones soul. lovely.

Oh wow.. one thing I missed about being on WC is your writing... it's also so telling and lovely... even if a bit sad. This is so true to parts of myself... Wonderful... as always.

Perfect flow, perfect emotion, perfect everything. It takes a lot to put myself into a position where I can feel what you have written.
Photo is perfect as well, pure vulnerability and superficiality.
Take care!
