Where My Soul Bleeds

Where My Soul Bleeds

A Poem by Neva Flores Smith - Changefulstorm
"

I am looking at black ink waking up the words that cut through me.......

"

I am looking at black ink waking up the words that cut through me
While praying, they form a message that sends relief
I want to scream out that this is my world I love so deeply
And that every page is the ground
Where my soul bleeds

Tell me is it less fair to extend a soul so drained that it no longer sings
Yet still rises shyly to offer a quiet refrain you will never forget
Do the tears that are folded into a new day
Become ignorant so much so that they
Drown your spirit?

If I wrote you a love letter, would you search the world for our destiny
Perhaps finding words full of vibrant colors that spin on the truth
Or would you get discouraged with my right hand
For delaying the proud breezes you wish
To feel here in wonder

I am looking at black ink racing through my veins
Let me take the time to create a story that will comfort every page
Of this world I love so deeply because rare is the heartbeat
That overcomes that which is taught by time to walk
On the definition of a kiss.

My thoughts crumble into sweet passion waking black ink
Until my heart is bathed in a constant notice from time and space
Although my words are never spoken,
Bits and pieces of them enjoyed the last time the ink whispered
Onto pages where my soul bleeds

oh this is really beautiful...
the soul bleeds and speaks on inks...
its a wonderful journey in a vast different viewpoint...
each stanza is a flight of the soul...
seaching its passionate love and the bond that it connects...
awesome write my friend...

"taught by time to walk
On the definition of a kiss."

I love this elegant line! Yes, we writers and poets here all bleed ink do we not? Write with flowers from the heart, kisses on our lips, razors to our wrists or guns to our heads...most every writer is sensitive...to pain and joy. And we spill our guts in ink. " If I could stick a pen knife in my heart and bleed all over the page..." Mick Jagger And that's only rock n roll!

Wow, this is so intense, as if it was me looking at the black ink. Great emotion placed here. You do have a way of creating an image with multiple metaphors. Thanks

Where the soul bleeds and find rest perhaps in the ink and words that flow easing sometimes the pain.lovely poignant write .

Whilst ther beautiful painting sets a past scene, somehow your wording brings both the pain and beauty of modern emotions to mind. You gently sway from one feeling to another - hesitation, love, hurt, and more, and or but always in a truly exquisite style.

A fantastic opening line that carries throughout the whole poem, I like the image as that sets the mood of Victorian love letters and the way you switch between old and new styles. I am going to library it to keep and read again, this is very strong

This seems a bit different for you. Emotional and sadness bleeding through a readers heart with every word, but still wonderfully penned and poetic.
