Dancing in the Rain

Dancing in the Rain

A Poem by Chassitie Linnaea Nicole Snow

Close my eyes and feel the sun upon me
Laying back into the grass, i listen to the insects sing

feeling the breeze, i hear it creep, rustling through the autumn leaves
the winter dawning very near, soon the rain i will hear

Standing with my umbrella in hand
i smell the rain before it began

the first drop resting upon my face
then suddenly begins the rain

the wind blowing all about
the thunder rippling through the clouds

taking off my boots and my socks,
i run into the street
water splashing about

i lift my arms and tilt my head
spinning round and round
till it ends

dancing in the rain, lying in the sun
a friend of nature
my first love
