"I love you" is a Now thingA Story by Terri
"I love you" does not mean maybe or if. It is not a promise. A promise is a promise. I promise to love, honor and cherish is not the same as "I love you."
"I love you" is in the moment, it's a now thing. It's like giving someone a piece of cake, really good cake. It's a mixture of many ingredients - the kinds of ingredients the other person likes. Every "I love you" is different, a different mixture of acceptance, admiration, tolerance, warmth, caring, support, wonder, happiness, comfort, desire, courage. A different piece of cake every time. Every "I love you" is a strength that is shared, given, said. It's a "here I am" wrapped up with "I am with you" and "this is where I want to be." Physically, emotionally, whatever. A giving wrapped up with hope. "I love you" right now, as you are. I hope that's ok with you. © 2018 TerriAuthor's Note
