The Dance

The Dance

A Poem by Cheri Roberts

A few typed words

Unexpected

Disbelief

An unlikely sender

Opposite

Important

The surprised receiver

Suspicious

Unsure

And so they danced

Circling

Aware

Lost to the beat

Swaying

Electric

The final notes

Bitter

Sweet

Nice movement and meter on this piece. It read with ease and delight and even though the end was a bit sad, the entire piece felt of excitement and discovery. Thank you for sharing this.
