A Poem by Cherrie
"

The Christmas Tree

"

Dusty picture black and white,

what made me find you now?

Fingers not so steady trace across your silhouette

stirring colors to my memory and

with the speed of time take me back

the perfect Christmas photo

daddy chopping down that pine.

Cocoa in a thermos

Served by the innocents of a child.

I smile, children can find the whole event quite overwhelming I guess, this one just seemed to participate and enjoy, the last line just reinforces what thsi festival ought to be all about and I reckon you mean, 'innocence', one of those errors I would make, kind regards and thanks

The Christmas memories as an adult are never quite as sentimental as the Christmas memories as a child. A lovely little poem.
