The Jab

The Jab

pure bs except for the two tips, they are spot on "rough draft"

The PTA moms (all old friends) were tossing out shopping tips, cooking tips, the basic French twist tutorial, thinking all the while I felt uncomfortable.  All eyes landed on me. So it’s my turn I thought, looking at the snobbish women. I smoothed my fitted dress. My lips curled, I brushed my hair back over my shoulders, then let them have it.

“Let me start by telling you-all two of my best-kept secrets. That could come in handy someday. First, one if you work in a high-risk environment think steel-toed footwear,” heads slightly tilted as they considered my words, “second tidbit, how to secure a squared-off combative in two moves. Balance your weight, set your feet, clench your left (no one looks for a left) deliver a hard-fast jab to the Adam’ s-apple. Set your right to guard your face. While their hands rush to the throat, spring your left a second time, straight to the solar plex,” mouths dropped open, “at this point, you can break out the cuffs or simply walk away. Which looks something like this.”

Excellent advice. I prefer making my hand into a puppet mouth, saying blah blah blah and walking away. I'm sure it's only coincidental I've had four people mounting the pavement in their car on the pavement I'm on, pure coincidence.
And no one looks for a left for sure. 9 grew up playing footie (soccer if your americanese) left footed and people couldn't tackle me. So they jumped stood on my right foot a lot, which is why I'm now practically crippled. Well, it hurts now and again. Sorry, don't know what came over me. It's not like a guy usually exaggerates 😀
