A Poem by Cherrie Palmer

You will,

find joys without end,

and discover,

dreams only get better with time.

You will

make mistakes,

some will crest a smile, while others will blur the eyes.

You will

look back to find,

fears of the past are now a badge of honor,

And with eager feet, you will discover tomorrow.

Passions will bloom and wisdom will blossom,

and the man you will become will always remember.

This is a well-stated & uplifting reassurance from one who's lived, perhaps, to one who's just starting out. I find myself playing this role a lot in my old age, seeing how stuff that seems catastrophic these days has been survived in the past, many times over, in many variations, with lesser conveniences! But your poem pertains to one's inner sustenance, I suspect, more than worldly worries. Everyone needs to hear this every once in a while (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

There is a strength and direct tone that no matter what happens things are going to be ok. Hardships await but so does happiness and better times. Through experience you will learn how to combat and embrace the future and what awaits. Accept the gray and wrinkles. That part has been earned. A most enjoyable read.

I hope it's true Jacob. I hope wisdom writes it's own inscription. I hope wrinkles mean you once smiled a lot or laughed out loud or found a reason to understand....thanks brother for this one....dana

Agreed. A sum total of all the mistakes made, lessons learned and fears transcended is what an individual is.

:) Diamond thank you so very much.
Wisdom comes with age, which I must admit was wasted on me when I was young.
Now that I'm wise I can blame my young self for all the dumb things he got up to.
It's a cruel world growing up to be wise, but I'm getting there.
