blessed

A Poem by Cherrie Palmer
"

Amphion

"

Today morning broke so sweetly,

warming sunlight,

renews my might.

My faith, renewed completely.

Your perfect love,

comes from above,

and in your loving warmth I rest.

My life renewed,

Your truth pursued,

and by Your grace I'm so blessed.

That's new to me - liked the syllables how insightfully stuffed in. Deep and heartfelt - something untold and untouched you inked around.

Also, outta curiosity, I just checked your blogging site which has my attention now because when I checked your first post written in 2011, It would remind me the old time of mine cos, as far as I recall, may be back in 2012, I embarked on my writing journey... though started posting on blogger since 2015. So it's quite special and memorable.

Always good to meet n greet with people/writers who write since long and keep memories captured like you did. Looking forward to reading your stuffs and blogs.. as I have just followed you on blogger as well.

Happy Labour Day ahead, Cherrie.

What caught my eye, The flow and structure of this poem - wonderfully done.
Opening lines, "Today morning broke so sweetly," - what a way to begin, there can't be any better mornings than having feel blessed with light, love and warmth. In so few words, you have expressed the need for bright mornings and their effect on our day ahead. Nothing like being blessed and energized. Thank you for this beautifully crafted sweet poem.

To feel all of this is to feel truly blessed (although right now I'd settle just for the suns warmth)
Yet perhaps this is what we need more than anything right now, to count our blessings, no matter how small or trivial and concentrate on that, rather than let negativity win out.
This flows so well, skipping and dancing across the page with effortless rhythm.
But be aware... I read it three times and now can't get the rhythm out my head. I think this may be my first poetic earworm 😀

Indeed an article of faith dressed in a poetic cassock and told from the heart of a true believer.

This reads like a psalm for the soul and a thankful prayer for all good blessings. I like the form; it's very graceful and reads lovely on the page. Sunlight does renew our might, doesn't it? Love that line. Such an eloquent poem, Cherrie. Much enjoyed!

Hello dear Cherrie. I love your work.
These are things crack heads say to themselves.

If you wanna be religious with real purpose you need to be more intellectually reasonable.

Unrelatedly, if you were to grapple in real life, you have a chin that could be used to great effect. Great pain could be inflicted with that pointy a*s thing. You truly have an advantage.
