Once Upon A Romance

Once Upon A Romance

A Poem by Cherrie Palmer

Once upon a romance your

heart called out to me,

and once upon a sunset

your love came to me.

Now the sun is rising,

and the truth is sweeter still.

Forever and here after

I  will be your girl.

Yes, I agree, if we're lucky enough to find it. :)
awwwwwwww how sweet and tender it is .. such a lovely read .. give me a sigh of relief it ends well for your couple .. i so expected the morning sun to reveal bad breath and an even worse mistake in a one night stand thing .. read it out loud .. warm fuzzy feelings, i have right now ;)

This really is true Love' That girl' might be older, a little different, but what's inside is tucked and safe. You've both walked the same path, arrived at the same place, together. How beautiful is that. You've said so much with so few words. Sigh.

Damn, so little words and it still seems to have a bigger meaning that i can´t seem to grasp. I love this.

As we love you like fresh strawberries in June. gently, Pat
4th line I read as "love came to me"---
quite the romantic write...
and I like the use of "girl" in the last line...referring to
way back then, as well as now...the giving is what makes the relationship work, not the taking.
nice sentiment exudes from this piece.
