Heaven's Footprints Fade

Heaven's Footprints Fade

A Poem by Cherrie Palmer
"

Waka 5 7 5 7 7 7

"
stars hum in silence
orbiting moon softly glows
heavens footprints fade
hiding the angels above
they who marvel over man
cling to the shekinah glow

This is perfect Cherrie. Plus, I learicated a new word, shekinah.
This does really capture everything I love about early am rising and feeling the calm of night seep through my pores, giving just the right amount of top up power to get us through whatever today holds... Which here, will no doubt include a few we'll aimed snowballs that hit their bullseye and dribble down your neck and back. Brr!
Roll on those balmy summer nights of double digit degrees 😊

"They who marvel over man..." We who marvel over them! A truly spiritual piece. Heavenly beauty here, Cherrie.

Normally it's referred to as the shekinah glory of God. Which is His manifest presence.
Ok. God's home glows and leads the followers from the darkness to the light. I might suggest if something is that esoteric perhaps a note to explain after reading it might be nice.

Owlcation is quite a trove of treasures. So a waka is a poem. I'm checking out Haigu. I already had .. read more
What now? A Waka? One more than a Tanka. Where are you finding these forms, I didn't see this one in my searches. Beautiful words that feel comfortable to me now. But I'm going to go search shekinah. Indian I'm guessing. I'll be back to read this good poem again.
