A Poem by Cherrie Palmer

Layaside your leaflet.
Pull your curtains back.
Take in all that is around you
never looking back.

Two it's always better to go in the off season.
It sounds like someone is going on holiday! I used to vacation on Ocracoke Island with just a few changes of clothes, a tent and some fishing gear. Everything moves slower and sweeter on the island. How I loved looking out my mosquito proof skylight at night to see the stars and the lighthouse beacon sweeping the sky and hear the ocean waves falling in the surf. It makes me wistful. I enjoyed your poem.

That sounds heavenly.
Feels like a counseling session has begun. You could be my poetic therapist. This was a fun little thing that you wrote with big ideas.

Please keep your arms inside until we come to a full stop.
Look up and see the clouds? Or maybe put down the phone and smell the coffee! Nice thoughts, Cherrie.
