Let us Not

Let us Not

A Poem by Cherrie Palmer

Let us not step over the dead to wax poetic.

Raise your voice and your pen.
To wake those that lazily turn the channel and a blind eye.

Children need us. Their parents need us. Take a stand before we too are knocked down.

I'm glad you have now said what so many must surely be thinking .. some words just need to be both shouted and writ .. to be heard and serve as a permanent record for those who might follow in many years to come .. if indeed there are that many years to come .......................... Neville

i'm forever writing to politicians, bureaucrats & whomever, voicing my opinion.
the more folks write & complain the more likely something will be done about a situation.

He has plans. He will not stop at Ukraine. Sooner or later this is going to get much worse. Action required not words.

Thank you. Words can rally a group but at some point action is required or they are just words. read more
When one man speaks with words and another with bullets and bombs, it's only a matter of time until the words are silenced. The pen may be mightier than the sword but we are quite a ways removed from the age of knights and chivalry. America has lost its backbone and we have a weak and senile leader who can barely function. He gave a speech the other day then turned to shake hands with thin air. Then, he walked around in circles a few seconds, perceivably trying to gain an idea of where he was before walking off stage in the wrong direction. That is simply sad for someone who is supposedly the leader of the free world. It's all on video. You can't make this stuff up.

and the disease of apathy, and take care of myself...just spreads.
Sooner or later we will be dragged into this physically....why not now...?

Gee
Seems like we, the world, are having to stand helplessly and watch as Russia does whatever it deems its right.
God only knows how this will end Cherrie.
Hope you are well
