Yes, I will never be the master.
But, with each word laid down the student- grows.

Some might claim that to be a master poet, or writer, or artist, is to master the forms, technical conventions and fundamental elements contingent to the craft.

I'm not sure though; I feel like a master, is the person that is able to produce the art they want to at will - to make material the idea they hold in their mind's eye.

I am so subject to the whims of my own imagination, and at times my attempts to harness it (as one would a pack animal) feel so feeble, that I suspect I'll never really master it.

Might be that the trick is letting it master me, and handing it the reigns as opposed to the other way around. : ) I don't know.

Anyways, thought provoking write Cherie - look forward to reading more.

We are always learning and evolving when we write or do anything really. A constant learning.

Dear Cherrie, we are all life long learners on our journey. There are very few masters. Thoughtful brevity.
