Do you know what you want to do?

Do you know what you want to do?

A Poem by Frontier

Do you know what you want to do?
Dive up into the sky so blue
Grind your bones to make glue
To stick to nothing
What awaits in that bright, empty
room with no walls?
Where no man will ever dare fall.
My heart is the one
that wants to stand tall.
It scorns its golden artery,
a ghost which does not
live up to its mastery
My heart is the one
that looks ahead
My heart is the one
that I dread
Do you know what you want to do?

Your first verse was a gem that inspired me to write this tiny gift poem for you which you may keep as your own. I had to use some of you words to make it work.

Indecision

Do you know what you want to do
grinding your bones to make some glue
diving
driving
through and through
a deep blue view
sticking to nothing,
nothing that‘s true?

I just wanted to make a little song out of your poem using the "ew" sound.

Nice! I just sang it with the sound in mind and it flows so well! :)

hold your heart together, any way you can, walls are temporary and will fall, a ghost is a dead being, no sense thinking that way while one is breathing,, there is a love for all of us on the other side of doubt:)

Haha thank you Paul, I really liked this.
I enjoyed the poem. Gave the feel of the ancient writers. Wanting to draw reaction and thoughts. I like the repetition in the poem.
"Do you know what you want to do? "
The above question is a very good one. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

Indeed a good question, thanks Coyote :)
i like all the paradoxes in this.."dive up into the sky"
"glue to stick to nothing"

a freedom to fall upward...all the positive lines about the heart wanting to stand tall, look ahead...and yet
the one she dreads...

a ghost doesn't own its mastery because the past has killed our heart, and now our spirit is so unsure...

so i want to dive up into that empty firmament...free of dread...but that is easier said than done.

I agree. A gem of a writing. Bravo.......................

I like the angles of this. Word choice keeps things off balance and disturbed like an off balance person looking into a mirror colored with slight schizophrenia.

Diving into the sky - grind your bones to make glue that doesn't stick...very tasty.
