Memories will eat me

Memories will eat me

A Poem by Cheryl J. Turner

Paint me a story of infinate woe

I'm surrounded

Encased

Swallowed in sorrow

So easily lost

In the deep, dark sea

So easy to topple

Forever to my knees

Now dream a dream

A merry fantasy

Love everafter

For the romantic in me

Happiness all the while

Never far from a smile

Embraced by loving arms

Never letting go

Forever has spoken

Banishing all woe

What will you bring

Enemy of the night

Demon dwelling within

Absconding from the light

Memories will eat me

They'll tear my heart apart

Is there a future out there

Or must I depart?
