Reconciliation

Reconciliation

A Poem by Cheryl J. Turner

Along the road

In days to come

A bell shall toll

Along you'll run

Sorrow in your pocket

A bouquet for a hand

Promise of tomorrow

And of a better man

I shall weep

And bend and bow

You shall comfort

Whisper words, shallow

Love! we'll proclaim

Like never before

Renewed are our vows

No ongoing war

On we'll saunter

To horizons edge

Where hand in hand

We'll laugh and pledge

To death we do part

And so it shall be

Just you and Just me

And this cliff

Honestly
