Never Forgotten.

Never Forgotten.

A Poem by Chesney W.
"

My cousin, my aunt, a friend from school, another aunt, and now a close friend we called 'Bubba'. May they Rest In Peace Forever.

"

The good die young.

They may be gone,

but they will never ever be forgotten.

Loved by many.

Missed deeply.

Death sucks for all the living.

But those gone have a better place to live.

I am sorry for your loss! But somebody said death is just a new beginning! Its another metamorphosis! "But those gone have a better place to live." You have developed an acceptance of this reality that many difficult to grasp! Nice work!

It does seem we lose the good people too soon. Thank you for sharing your thoughts. Good to remember the kind people in a life with words and thoughts. A excellent poem.

This was very raw, I felt acceptance mixed with lingering anger. The lines read as statements or declarations and although simple in composition and language have a gravitas that you can sense from that unfiltered emotion. I don't know if I would say I enjoyed the poem, it left me conflicted as I understand the depth of it, but I struggle to empathise, not because I cannot draw on similar experience but because it feels so fresh in how it exposes the wounds of loss. I believe this is a difficult emotion for anyone to touch outside of the direct experience that causes them (unless they are experiencing events of a similar nature at the time of reading) because time allows it to fade to a different kind of hurt and to me at least, that pain is a different one from that expressed in the poem. I liked the poem though it certainly got me thinking :)

The best thing to do is to smile and remember your lost ones in their good moments :)

I'm so sorry for your loss. May them rest in peace. They will surely watch over and take care of you ^_^
