Fruit of the Sirens

Fruit of the Sirens

A Poem by Chilson, Joshua
"

We all wish to pick of the fruit of the sirens.

"
I cast away
to drift
across an endless ocean
hungry
wishing words edible
as they so vividly paint the sky
the world
and everything between
with absolute beauty
making me crave
craze
and want
to injest this illusion
these sirens of sea
conjure when I drink of them
partake of them
mixing wind
with words
till oceans rise
hearing them pontificate
with hurricane like words
as I the cast away
breach the swells
and pick of the fruit
the fruit of sirens.
