Dream with Me.

Dream with Me.

A Poem by Chilson, Joshua
"

The world can be changed not only in the actions of wealthy individuals, but also in the rich minded.

"
 Set free your mind,
creatively accost the world,
with contingent ideals,
as nothing is for certain.

 Animate an era,
led by diverse intellect,
birthing a new pandemic,
where hope isn't just a word.

 Dream with me,
cafe of desire,
your literary talents,
can allure vicissitude.

 Reinstate compassion,
sympathize the wounded,
give ear to inadvertent minds,
and abolish cunning deceit.

 For our writing at best,
may change one future,
as we are sentries of soul,
wordsmiths of spirit.

I do not want to one day wonder and wish for what might have been. And yet, here I am, wishing with no stars. Still waiting for the last I seen fall from a clear night sky, wondering if a certain someone is looking at the heavens with me at the same time. Yes, together our words are mightier than any sword, and together strong and true. And you used the word "hope"! There is a reason for this, as since mom passed, this word is just about everywhere my eyes gaze upon! Hope is all we have, as long as it is kept safe within fragile hands of those who cherish it and more most of all. And with you, the universe between us moves and shifts, waiting for our next move, our next creation. I have been through with all the "what ifs" in the world! Whenever you are ready, so am I. Wordsmiths since the dawning of time, you and I! :)

Words can change the world, can influence the minds of others, can open up our hearts and minds...I love poetry that gives hope, and your words have done this.

I couldn't agree more, minds are powerful tools and art has the strength to draw in the mind. It's a great way to express and bring issues which are in desperate ned of aknowledgment into the spotlight...if only everyone used their talents/fame/power to bring possitive gain to more people than theirselves... some people think one person can't make a differenc but one person began the steady decent into destruction, we causd these issues so one person can do the opposite and start the ascent into repairing them.

Great poem, like a calling to all writers t speak up

I love it, you could even be stronger with your ending. Nothing more persuasive than the power of the writen and spoken word. Let's face it, we are the wordsmiths! Fabulous topic and poem.
